The trading names "Crewseekers", "Crewseekers International" "Crewseekers Direct Sailing", the internet addresses "crewseekers.co.uk " and "crewseekers.net" and the Crewseekers Sun/Yacht logo are the intellectual property of Crewseekers Limited and may not be used copied or reproduced in any form without the specific permission of Crewseekers Limited.

Crewseekers Limited has no connection whatsoever with any other trading name or web site address which may appear similar.

Crewseekers Limited is an introduction agency only and circulates details of crews and yacht owners/skippers which comes from the information given by the individuals concerned.

Crewseekers Limited cannot warrant the accuracy of the details given to them and members must satisfy themselves as to the suitability and safety of any yachts on which they propose to crew and the competence of the skipper and other crew.

There are risks attached to sailing and that Crewseekers Limited cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury loss or damage however caused as the result of an introduction.

Ownership and security of information

All information provided by Crewseekers Limited is subject to copyright, is privileged and provided for the exclusive use of a registered and current member of Crewseekers Limited.

Yacht owners details and any other information provided must not be passed to any other person under any circumstances. Any breach of this requirement will result in immediate termination of Crewseekers membership and possible legal action.

Members of Crewseekers are specifically prohibited from developing establishing operating or owning any yacht crew agency or similar business to that of Crewseekers Limited in any capacity or assisting any other individual or corporate body in any such way at any time.

No part of any information or document may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form by any means ,electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without prior permission of Crewseekers Limited.

Crew Membership

Membership is available world-wide using the Crewseekers web site. Crew Membership entitles members to request and receive personal contact details of yacht owners.

Crewseekers Limited reserve the right to refuse suspend or terminate membership at their sole discretion.

Membership is open to all ages and experience levels subject to acceptance. Members under the age of 18 must provide Parental/Guardian consent.

Crew Membership is available by subscription only and all fees due are payable on registration.

Current Membership Fees are available on request and subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

Details requested for yacht owners should fall within the current membership period and Crew Membership should be valid for the period in which members wish to sail.

Yacht owners may validate personal crew membership details with Crewseekers Limited subject to the terms of our privacy policy.

Membership is available for 6 or 12 months subject to acceptance. 

Membership is non-transferable and Crewseekers Limited are unable to provide credit or refunds for any unused portion of membership.

Single membership means one named member. Joint membership means two named members sharing the same mailing address who intend to sail together. Group membership is not available.

By registering you authorise Crewseekers Limited to circulate your personal details in the course of their agency. If you do not wish to have your details passed to Yacht Owners you have to select the option to specify this requirement. Please see our privacy policy for full details.

Members are requested to promptly notify changes of personal circumstances such as change of address or contact details.

Information is given by the yacht owner/skipper and members must satisfy themselves as to the suitability and safety of yachts on which they propose to crew and the competence of the skipper and other crew.

Yacht Owner Registration

Registration is available worldwide using the Crewseekers web site. Yacht owners may register free of charge provided that any contribution required from crew members does not exceed a daily maximum total of more than GB£15.00 (fifteen pounds sterling) per day towards the shared costs of food fuel and any overnight mooring costs. The charge must not include any element of profit. If the cost is expected to exceed this amount please use Crewseekers Direct Sailing Service.

Crewseekers Limited reserves the right to change the maximum amount of daily contribution in line with economic conditions at any time.

Registration entitles yacht owners to have their personal details and crew requirements circulated to Crewseekers Crew Members free of charge via the Crewseekers website, by email, telephone or by any other means that Crewseekers considers appropriate.

Crewseekers Limited reserves the right to refuse suspend or cancel a yacht owner registration at any time at their sole discretion.

Yacht owners may validate personal crew membership details with Crewseekers Limited subject to the terms of our privacy policy.

Yacht Owner registration is available for an unlimited time period and is subject to acceptance.

Yacht owners are requested to ensure that all crew members who contact them are current members of Crewseekers and entitled to use our service.

By registering you authorise Crewseekers Limited to circulate your personal details in the course of their agency. If you do not wish to have your details passed to Crew Members please use our Crew Profile Service to contact suitable crew members directly. Yacht owners are requested to promptly notify Crewseekers of changes of personal circumstances such as change of address, personal contact details, changes to the vessel, or changes to any advertised voyage. Yacht owners undertake to advise Crewseekers as soon as any advertised trip is full, amended or withdrawn for any reason.

Yacht owners are reminded of their legal responsibility for the safety of their vessel and their crew at all times in accordance with International Maritime Law.

Crewseekers Limited recommends that you hold adequate insurance for your vessel, third party insurance, personal accident, sickness and life insurance cover.

Information is given by the crew member and yacht owners / skippers must satisfy themselves as to the suitability and competence of any crew they engage.

Direct Sailing Advertisements

All advertisements should confirm to advertising industry standards and be legal decent truthful and honest. Crewseekers Limited reserves the right to accept modify or reject any advertisements which in their opinion may mislead confuse upset or cause offence to any other party.

Fair Usage Policy

Our aim is to help you contact yacht owners to arrange sailing during your membership. Members may request details of owners directly online by using an agreed password access system. If we consider the number of contacts being requested in any period appears to be unusually high in relation to the requirements of the member or membership activity is higher than we would normally expect to see in the course of our business, or if there is a problem contacting yacht owners, we may request members to contact us by email or telephone to discuss their specific requirements.

Crewseekers Limited recommends that you hold adequate personal accident,sickness and life insurance cover. Please see our link page for agents offering insurance cover.

All members are expected to act in a professional and respectful manner at all times and report any illegal or suspicious activities to the relevant authorities in accordance with international maritime law and the laws of the country that they are visiting at the time.

Crewseekers Limited reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions as and when required in accordance with normal business practice.
