Mate / Deckhand / Steward(ess)

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to serve as the key member of staff of our family’s 64 foot motor boat in summer 2024 and possibly going forward.

Job Requirements
● Minimum 6 months relevant boat experience
● Working on average 12 hour days (with breaks) when the family is on board
● Fluent English spoken
● Tender operations/handling
● Skipper license will be a big advantage but not a must
● Swimming skills and ability to teach it to a child would be very welcome

Responsibilities
Deckhand tasks: assisting captain with mooring and anchoring; washing the boat down and maintaining overall cleanliness of boat surfaces - teak, GRP, glass, stainless steel, others.
Steward tasks: maintaining tidiness and cleanliness of boat interiors; changing linens; maintaining galley area; preparing and serving drinks and some light foods occasionally. Removing rubbish and recycling. Assisting with purchasing and provisions. Laundry coordination.
