Passage Mallorca to Lanzarote

At a date as yet to be finalised, but at some time between the 1st and the 15th of November, the sailing yacht PANDA will embark from Mallorca, headed for Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote, Canaries. With a distance of 1,040 nautical miles, the voyage will be made with the minimum number of stages. That's to say that it will take between six and ten days, depending on weather conditions in (and heading to) the Strait. We are inviting inscriptions for those who would like to make the voyage.

The price per person is 500 euros, plus boat kitty and help on board. The objective is aimed at those who wish to acquire sailing experience, ocean navigation and above all, navigation aboard a racing boat. Old, certainly, but a race-bred boat, nonetheless! Not a cat, straight out of the boatyard, she is a Two Tonner that has undergone a recent refit making her like new, without altering her characteristics.

About the equipment:
- New Volvo D-2 (75hp) engine.
- New B & G electronics
- Electrics replaced from A - Z
- New Pires de Lima sails
- New mono-rod shrouds
- New keel fixings
- New Lofrans windlass
- Full security equipment, as demanded by law and - more importantly - sound sense!

We will be taking a crew of between four and six and inscriptions will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. More information can be obtained on here or by telephone +351 912 420 620.
Thank you for sharing.
PS - The PANDA is a Two Tonner IOR designed by Hugh Welbourn and built in the United Kingdom at the Green Marine boatyard. The hull is of Kevlar/Carbon and high-density foam sandwich construction and the build quality is exceptional. The boat's track record is more than respectable, placing second in the 1985 Fastnet Race.
