The owner seeks an experienced, well qualified single crew, for a full time position as first mate/ assistant skipper. The prospective candidate must be experienced in offshore and deep sea cruising and used to maintenance, cleaning, and caretaking yachts.
Eleanda, a Halberg Rassy 62’ sloop ( 2007) has covered 38,000 miles in 10 seasons.
The owners usually plan 6 – 8 summer cruises of 12 days each. The current intention for 2018 is to sail Sardinia, Sicily and on to Corfu. The crew for the past six years is leaving for family reasons.
The new crew must be fit, a strong swimmer and non-smoker, and will start in March with a handover from the current crew. It is a live-aboard position, responsibilities include sailing the boat, general maintenance and managing deliveries. A minimum 8 month contract will be offered with opportunity for renewal. Gross remuneration £3,000 - £3,500 per month, with usual expenses.
