Description

My husband and I are planning to sail from Norfolk,Virginia to the BVI departing sometime on or after Nov 1 2018, depending on weather.
We expect the passage to take from 8 to 13 days, again depending on weather.
Our boat is a 2001 Catalina 400 (LOA: 40.5', draft: 5'8", beam 13.5', displacement 19700 lb, 3 sleeping cabins), which we purchased in May this year.
Mark and Betsy have each completed, in 2017 and 2018, five RYA courses: Essential Navigation and Seamanship (shore-based), Practical Day Skipper (Greece), Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore (shore-based), Practical Coastal Skipper (Antigua), and Short Range (radio) Certificate. (Certificates available on request.). We have chartered boats in Carribean about 45 days, but do not have much offshore experience.
We are currently replacing rigging and adding solar panels, AIS, Iridium Go!, wifi booster, and all safety equipment required by Rally1500.
We are looking for 1-2 crew.
