Description
I need to get my Moody 425 yacht to Scotland as part of a UK circumnavigation (bucket list) trip and would like some help. I have a friend who is also Yachtmaster Offshore qualified and would like 1 or 2 others to assist us with watch keeping particularly at night.
The current plan is to leave Chichester, do two day hops to Brighton/Newhaven and Ramsgate, so everyone is comfortable with the boat, then launch northwards for 2 days probably stopping in Northumberland before setting off for Scotland.
The boat had a major electronic update 2 years ago (including Radar & AIS Transceiver), has full safety equipment, including EPIRB, 6 Man Offshore Liferaft and lifejackets, and new sails. A safe big centre cockpit yacht with inmast furling main and furling genoa, all lines are handled from the cockpit, I have previously sailed her singlehanded across to France & Channel Islands and back, but would like some assistance to get to Scotland.
