Sea of Cortez to .........

Malaika has been home for 8 years. I bought her in Connecticut in 2011 and sailed her straight to the Caribbean. My first mate and I spent 6 years exploring as much of the Caribbean as we could with our golden retriever and 2 parrots. I "lost" her in 2017 to the call of her career and singlehanded Malaika through the Panama canal and up to the northern Sea of Cortez over the last 2 years. I've realized cruising is more fun (and a little easier) with someone else aboard.
Malaika is currently on the hard in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. I plan to have her in the water and ready to head south by early November. It will be a leisurely cruise to Panama and then deciding whether to cross the Pacific or return to the Caribbean. Malaika is a very well kept and competent, blue-water cruiser. She has 2 private suites with private heads, full galley and modern safety and navigation equipment.
I am a 47 year old, retired obstetrician/gynaecologist who loves to sail, freedive, spearfish and kiteboard.
