Description

Having cruised a fair bit with friends and family, I've just bought a lovely red J/80 ('Little Jem'), have had her spruced up (she's looking very gorgeous) and am now ready to commence racing her. I'm not pretending to be a 'pro' skipper and the first few races will be with a race skipper on board (at my expense) until everyone is competent, confident & absolutely ready to go. As is often the case, my children love to come sailing, but with commitments now at uni or in jobs, often can't. So I'm looking to create a smallish pool of fun, friendly, 'available' people from which there can (nearly) always be a crew. The plan is to do a few autumn events this year and start in earnest in the spring.

I'm a barrister by profession, early 50s, living in SW London. I've skippered quite a bit, am a member at the Royal Southern, and am most definitely convivial.

Experience in racing / smaller boats etc would be welcome and handy, but non-essential. Mid-week availability a bonus.
