Description

I am looking for a friendly, willing crew of one to share the fun in crossing the Channel and the Bay of Biscay, possibly on to the Med, sometime over the summer of 2024. The idea is not to bash on without stopping, but spend nights at anchor or in marinas here and there. The boat is a classic wooden cutter 10m long, with modern electronics, including AIS and HF radio for reliable offshore communications, plenty of safety equipment including a 4man liferaft, wheel steering and autopilot. This is a sailor's boat, comfortable, not luxurious, with a decent galley, good headroom, and a separate 2 berth forecabin, less headroom, for a crew of one. I am a 64 year old man, an easy-going skipper, willing to share tasks and decision-making with a crew member who has the same attitude.
