Captain - Classic Gaff Rigged Yacht

We are commissioning a 1909 classic gaff gentlemen’s yacht after a long refit. She is 47 on deck and 60ft with Bowsprit and is on the British Historic Ships register (although though now very much refitted with a new cockpit). We are based in Cowes. It would be a contract position till October but may be extended should the vessel go to the Canaries. The plan will be to sail race on the Solent and cruise locally till July. July we will enter British Cowes Week, Round the Island and a few other events. August the boat intends to cruise to West Country but may extend to Ireland, Channel Islands, France and Scotland. We are a young family with a two year old and a four year old. The ideal candidate will need to fit in with a young family and be able to help where they can as we will during a cruise be living in close proximity. The candidate MUST have experience with classic yachts and gaff rigs. Ideally they will have wood working skills. £1500 per month plus bonus (extra for couples)
