Description
We are looking for a skipper for our 2023 Sail Training programme for our Baltic Trader 'Queen Galadriel'. We are a charity that takes disadvantaged young people on week long voyages.
The Trust's skippers take a leading role in delivery of our programme of providing opportunities to disadvantaged young people to develop life skills through the challenge and adventure of life at sea. 2023 sees the Trust's 40th year of operation.
The skipper will take responsibility for the safe operation of the vessel and delivery of our sail training programme. The successful candidate will need to be a strong team player with a positive attitude.
Candidates should have the following:
- Experience of skippering vessels 20m and larger
- Experience of working with young people
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
This is a paid, full time position with scheduled leave periods.
