Description

A great opportunity to join an experienced crew who between them have completed 6 Fastnet and/or Round Ireland races. Most of the crew have completed the Dùn Laoghaire to Dingle qualifying race this year coming second in cruiser class with our bandit 0.868 handicap. We are considering taking another crew member who has some offshore racing experience. We’ll muster in Cowes on Friday 21st July, the day before the start of the Rolex Fastnet Race. This 700NM race will finish in Cherbourg a week later. We’ll be racing the second lowest rated boat in the 477 strong fleet with one of the best handicaps. All crew are making a contribution to help cover the considerable expenses of this summer campaign. Some offshore sailing and racing experience is an advantage but it’s hoped that all crew will gain vast experience over this offshore race.
