Description

A great opportunity to join an experienced crew who between them have completed 6 Fastnet and/or Round Ireland races. We will do our basic sea survival in Waterford in February/March. Then on Wednesday 8th June is our qualifier race the D2D. We will race form Dublin (Dún Laoghaire). The race is 270 miles along the East and South Coasts of Ireland, finishing in the wonderful and welcoming town of Dingle. After that we’ll muster in Cowes on Friday 21st July, the day before the start of the Rolex Fastnet Race. This 700NM race will finish in Cherbourg a week later. We’ll be racing in one of the smallest boats in the fleet with one of the best handicaps. You can choose to help with the deliveries if you want to double your sea miles. All crew are making a contribution to help cover the considerable expenses of this summer campaign. Some offshore sailing and racing experience is an advantage but it’s hoped that all crew will gain vast experience over these 2 races offshore and deliveries.
