We are looking for an experienced mate to supplement our existing crew across our fleet of three traditional vessels.
Our mates support our skippers in the delivery of our Sail Training programme of providing opportunities to disadvantaged young people to develop life skills through the challenge and adventure of life at sea.
The successful candidate will have:
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore or above with commercial endorsement
Experience of working with young people in some capacity (not necessarily sail training)
Empathy with the youth of today
The right to live and work in the UK
It is desirable that candidates have the following but is not essential:
Gaff rig experience
Experience of vessels 20m and larger
Experience of traditional vessels
Experience of Sail Training.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
