What is the difference between Single and Partners’ membership?
Single membership is for one person.
Partners’ memberships are intended for 2 people who will sail together as a couple and there are some Sailing Opportunities listed that are specifically looking for a couple. This could be due to the nature of the accommodation arrangements or the skipper's preference. Two people using a Partners’ membership, who are a couple, may also reply individually to sailing opportunities. Members who do not have Partners’ memberships cannot reply to Sailing Opportunities that have specifically requested that only Partners’ members are sought. Partners' Membership does not in any way refer to the desire to find a partner.

How do you process payments?
We use Stripe and PayPal to process payments – they’re the best in the business. We don’t store any of your card details and all payments are fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. If you wanted to send us a good case of wine we’d probably accept that as payment too.

Is membership billed monthly?
No – the full term of your membership is billed when you join. We detail the monthly equivalent in the pricing panel above to allow a comparison of the monthly cost of each plan.

Does crew membership auto-renew?
Absolutely not – we think that’s rude. We abide by the maxim “don’t take that which is mine to give”. We will send you a reminder email towards the end of your membership offering you a discount to rejoin.

Can I get a refund if I decide to cancel my membership?
If you haven’t made any contact with any yacht owners via Crewseekers then we will refund your membership in the highly unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with our excellent service. If you have used Crewseekers to make any contact then unfortunately we can’t.

Can I give a gift membership
What a lovely idea. Yes, you can and we can send a gift card if you’d like.

What exactly is Crew Membership?
Crew membership gives you access to the sailing opportunity contact details. Once you become a member you can make contact with as many yacht owners as you wish via Crewseekers and make as many sailing plans as you want. You will have access to your own Profile page to tell Skippers about yourself and your sailing experience. You can verify your profile and you can upload sailing qualifications and a sailing cv if you wish.

What happens when I sign up?
We’ll send you a welcome aboard email, your account and profile will be immediately activated and you can start emailing yacht owners with well-crafted emails telling them why you’d love to come sailing.

Can I get a discounted or shorter membership period?
We cannot vary or reduce the membership price or period. We believe these offer the best balance of value for money and sustainability. Offering variable memberships would be unfair to other members.

I am a yacht owner – should I sign up here?
No – you should register here. There’s no charge for yacht owners to register and post sailing opportunities. But if you want to reply to crewing opportunities as well then yes you do need a crew membership.
