Contessa 32 Solent - One Design Class Racing

I have owned and raced a Contessa 32 ‘CORAFIN’ in the Solent for over 30 years. We dry sail from Hamble. You will need to travel easily/regularly to Hamble.

The Co32 fleet is classic one-design racing; it is highly competitive and great fun. There is also full programme of social activities linked to the racing and the Contessa folk love parties! We have an Inshore Series, our own Class at Cowes Week and a National Championships at Season’s End. I also do some 2-handed racing in between times.

I have a pool of 9/10 people who know the boat so we can always form a crew. Some of the current pool are moving on for various family and business reasons and I am looking for 2 or 3 new members. I have no fixed ideas as to who does what … but we do need a new foredeck! I encourage people to try different roles including helming. I pay all the basic boat and event bills. I see ‘crew building’ as a 2-3 year process and you must be prepared to commit as such.
