Description

This is not a leisure cruise. The Argonaut Offshore Crossing is a serious, expert-level offshore passage from Pula, Croatia to Sounio, Greece — over 700 NM descending the Adriatic and crossing the Ionian Sea.

Designed as an immersive offshore masterclass, this passage will build your confidence and sea miles for the Aegean 600 Regatta or any serious ocean sailing ambition. You will retrace ancient maritime routes, culminating with an arrival beneath the cliffs of the Temple of Poseidon.

Departing Pula—legendary refuge of the Colchians who pursued the Argonauts for the Golden Fleece—our 700 NM journey begins. We sail 140 NM to Vis (ancient Issa), then tackle "The Big Jump": a 300 NM offshore crossing of the Otranto Strait to Corfu. Continuing through the Gulf of Patras, we pass under the Rion-Antirion bridge before navigating the highlight: the narrow, 6.4 km Corinth Canal. Our epic passage concludes at Sounio, beneath the majestic Temple of Poseidon.
