Cross-channel cruise

I am taking my Westerly Oceanlord, OD1, on a cross-channel leg of the Westerly Owners’ Association 60th Anniversary Cruise. After assembling in Portsmouth, the plan is to make passage for Cherbourg, and then on to Honfleur via St Vaast and Ouistreham. We shall sail from Southampton to Portsmouth to join the fleet, sail with the fleet to Honfleur, and then return to Southampton.

As I am no longer as nimble as I was, despite a pair of replacement knees, I’m looking for enthusiastic, energetic crew who will be happy to run around the deck, take lines ashore, grind winches and generally enjoy sailing a classic blue water cruiser.

This is an opportunity to gain experience, build miles, visit some interesting ports and learn more about cruising (I’m a retired cruising instructor / sail training skipper). Ideal crew would be “competent” and ready to sail as a watch leader or mate - there may be an opportunity for watch-keeping on the return trip.
